Here is the expansive compilation, 'Damn Straight We've Got the Blues.' This set represents over three months of work in compiling, and I believe it to be not only comprehensive, but damn good to listen to as well. It captures a lot about our catalog that the 20th Anniversary Box Set was not intended to represent.
There is a healthy mix of New West Records, Live From Austin, TX, and Antones Records songs throughout, spanning our entire history as a label.
There are some stretches here, but as far as I am concerned, there is an element of the blues captured in every genre of music, whether it be folk, country, soul, or rock. I end it with The Drams' "Wonderous Life." If someone can't hear the blues in this song of down and out debauchery, then they don't know the blues.
I have sunk a lot of time and thought into this baby, and I hope you enjoy it. Get in your car and take a long drive. I promise you will be head bobbing and beboppin' down the highway.

Just a warm, easy listen. The love for the songs is apparent. Takes me back to days spent working on my car in the driveway in SoCal. Hope they do another one cause I'm gonna wear this on out. Aloha beauishere

Wonderful... some of Hiatt's best songs are here. I've been a fan since Riding with the King. This is gloriously played, too. What a band. anthonytoner
Killer D.C. art punk with a nervy sense of humor, skittering rhythms, and wiry guitars hits all the right notes and the right wrong ones. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 5, 2021
